“When traveling on the freeway at 60mph and I take my foot off the accelerator the transmission does not down shift or slow down. A strange sound can be heard until I press on the brakes. The rear passenger seat belt does not retract sometimes.. There is a strange sound when turning the steering wheel.”
NHTSA complaint #11399126, filed 2021-03, 30,000 miles“When driving my check engine light randomly turns on, on the freeway, street, turning, etc. And then it says check manual. The car starts shaking and you can't accelerate. In order to get where I need to be I have to pull over constantly and restart the car. I got it checked at auto zone and it said it was the throttle body actuator stuck in the open position. Oh and becomes more difficult to steer the vehicle when the error pops up.”
NHTSA complaint #11120786, filed 2018-08, 45,775 miles“The shift busing cable broke while I was in reverse backing out of a parking spot. When I went to put it in drive nothing would work. The car would not even go into neutral. There are lots of recalls on this issue for this specific car , but my VIN does not come up as one of them. I just purchased the car. I am a single mother of two young children. Christmas is around the corner. I do not have the money to fix this. This is a Ford issue that Ford needs to pay for.”
NHTSA complaint #11156075, filed 2018-12, 52,000 miles“Takata recall- I had on previous Ford Fusion. Tires, stability, wipers, ripped into I just bought two new tires august 2018. The car is under 9,000. Miles! The red one previous was 10,ooo, miles when I had to turn in lease, and pressured by a salesman. Plus they put on extra packages, and when I called, I said take it off, etc... They did not! I had trouble turning car at times(both) they have run off the road because of tires and other things. It was highway driving. Always.”
NHTSA complaint #11150153, filed 2018-11, 7,500 miles“While driving my car started shaking violently leaving me with no control of my acceleration. I had my children in the car with me and had to get through three lanes of traffic in efforts to pull over. Very scary situation.”
