“While driving highway speed (70 MPH) the car suddenly lost power as I was going up hill and in rush hour traffic. I had to merge all the way to the shoulder and coast down the hill 2 miles to get to a safe location before pulling over and getting out of the car. Thankfully a police office was able to escort me otherwise I could have been killed.”
NHTSA complaint #11361577, filed 2020-09, 57,000 miles“When I went out to my parked car in the driveway this morning, all of my windows were down. At first, I had thought that someone had broken into my car, and I looked for broken glass, signs of forced entry, and my belongings to be strewn all over my car. However, there was none of the above. My car was just as it had been when I left it around 7:00 pm the night before, and nothing had even been misplaced from where I had left it. …”
NHTSA complaint #11310755, filed 2020-02, 35,089 miles“While entering the freeway my car loss power and began to quickly decelerate. Thankfully I was able to move to the shoulder before the car that I was pulling in front of had to take action to keep from hitting me. The check engine light and wrench icon appeared after the incident happened. The Ford dealership informed me that the electronic throttle body failed and needed to be replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10876906, filed 2016-06, 12,000 miles“This is the 4th time this issue has occurred. While driving, my AC kicks on with no warning and I loose all power to my car. It shuts down. This is extremely dangerous and I see several people complain about it and nothing has been done at this time. No resolution can be found for the problem. My car shuts off on its own and the only warning I get is knowing when my radio cuts out and my AC kicks on, get to the breakdown lane because my car is shutting down.75 MPH on the busy highway.”
NHTSA complaint #11271472, filed 2019-10, 82,881 miles“While I was driving there were a issue that the turning left and right directional weren't working. Nothing would come to the hud in the vehicle no blinkers neither sound. I assumed it's an electrical problem, also the controls from the steering wheel doesn't work aswell. I've taken it to the dealer and they had found nothing. This is a very dangerous defect, due to a scare of the steering wheel not functioning again and while driving around the blinker won't activate when its suppose too.”
