“While driving on the highway to work on january 29, 2016 I turned on my wipers to clean the windshield after I turned the wipers off they stopped in the middle of the windshield, effecting my vision while driving. Once off, they will intermittently turn themselves on and off for a period sometimes stopping in the field of vision.”

NHTSA complaint #10825730, filed 2016-02, 60,000 miles

“Car has extreme, loud, embarrassing belt area noise. In checking with two local Ford service departments I am told this happens all the time and is common. It's about a $700.00 repair. Ford should take care of this problem for those affected which I am told are most that have been so unfortunate to have purchased a Fusion of the year 2011. This is ongoing from 0 to 70 MPH.”

NHTSA complaint #10744663, filed 2015-07, 81,000 miles

“Driving up the highway at about 65mph then the car begins to start losing power and speed, I have to pull over all the way to the right in the emergency lane. The yellow wrench light is on and I shut off the car then start it again, I'm able to make it home about 10 miles from home. If I didn't react quick enough this could have caused a major accident on the freeway.”

NHTSA complaint #10640006, filed 2014-09, 51,898 miles

“While driving, vehicle suddenly lost power. Rpms dropped and vehicle slowed to only a few mile per hour. Vehicle would not accelerate. Vehicle had to be towed to dealership, and I was informed it was a throttle body issue. I was informed this is a common issue, and there might be a recall. If this had occurred on the freeway, it could has been disastrous.”

NHTSA complaint #10557600, filed 2013-12, 40,000 miles

“The car just will just stall out while driving on freeway or street. I know from what I have read that it is the throttle body. It loses all power and just dies while driving. This has happened multiple times and the last time my kids and I almost died in the car. It is awful how this happened and the part was backordered and is extremely expensive to fix.”
