“I have 24391 miles on my car and I was told I need new shocks in the rear of the vehicle. I have never replaced back shocks on a car with that little bit of mileage. This should be a recall now Ford wants me to pay 435.00 for this really? First time I have owned a Ford. But will not be purchasing one ever again if I have to pay for new rear shocks.”

NHTSA complaint #11100517, filed 2018-06, 24,391 miles

“I haven't even had my car a whole year yet and I have already replaced a transmission and now having to do the steering wheel/bearing/hub assembly I thought Ford was okay until now I've spent so much money trying to repair this car.”

NHTSA complaint #11123580, filed 2018-08, 90,000 miles

“When driving, warning lights came on and said that steering assist failure pull over safely. The power steering clearly went out and the wheel was significantly heavier. Luckily I had enough space on the road, and the strength to move the wheel. After doing so, I turned the car off then back on to see if it would clear, then it said the service advancetrac, and steering loss stop safely twice as it starts up, and no power steering. Vehicle is at in the 83,000 miles round about. …”

NHTSA complaint #11023389, filed 2017-09, 83,000 miles

“Difficult to control at highway speeds; the car seems to wobble/over correct frequently. The car is difficult to keep between the lines when it encounters even minor bumps in the road. I've brought these concerns to Ford and have been met with highly antagonistic responses. Ford neglects to acknowledge the issue and told me they test drove the car and were unable to replicate the issue. I don't feel safe driving my new car on the highway. Please help!”

NHTSA complaint #10779539, filed 2015-10, 5,000 miles

“Friday, november 14, 2014, I was going between 25 and 35 miles per hour when I side swiped a curb on the driver's side. The control arm on the front drivers? Side broke into. There was a about a six (6) inch abrasion on the front left wheel edge and the tire at first glance appeared undamaged. My thought is that there was a flaw in the manufacture of the control arm. The car is currently at Ford of ventura, 3440 east main street, ventura, ca.”
