“I don't know if I'm the correct site but I am very concerned with my defroster on my windshield. There are times when I'm driving that the visibility on my windshield is extremely poor; can barely see out of the window. I try many variables to remedy it, AC, heat, high, low etc. Nothing works to remedy and it is very dangerous.”

NHTSA complaint #11245206, filed 2019-08, 55 miles

“Windshield wipers do not go fast enough to clear windshield and visability it nil. This is a disaster in the making, every time it rains at a moderate pace or more, I have to pull off the road and wait for the rain to let up. Once I was on a country road and was almost rear ended. Ford needs to replace the motor to increase speed or do something else before someone dies”

NHTSA complaint #11064750, filed 2018-01, 18,000 miles

“The wipers do not clear the windshield fast enough. You cannot drive this car in a light/moderate rain. Once it starts raining visibility becomes horrible and its dangerous to drive anywhere. If you get caught in a storm on the highway all you can do is pull over. This must be a Ford issue because my 2012 mustang was the same exact way, and our 2012 escape has the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10724975, filed 2015-06, 4 miles

“Drove a short distance to meet a friend. When I came out to go home my dash lights would not work, door chime and seat presets inoperative. Also determined on the way home that I had no turn signals, window controls, high beams or radio. Looked online to discover that fords are susceptible to electrical issues. The low key battery warning had been on all day prior to this happening. This is very dangerous as it is winter here and we are expecting rain and snow.”

NHTSA complaint #11298292, filed 2020-01, 83,150 miles

“Wipers on this car are terrible light rain causes poor visibility I have had to pull over in moderate rain something I have never had to do in any other car this is an accident waiting to happen I have seen plenty of complaints here on this subject and still no fix even dealer recognized there is a problem and still they can do nothing someone please look into this problme... Maybe we have to wait till there are actual injuries when they finally do something about this...”
