“The transmission or engine slams at various speeds and starting and stopping the transmission slams the car forward. The rear view mirror has started to peel away from the glass causing major vision problems. I asked the dealer about the issue and they told me to call customer service. Needless to say I still have the same mirror.”

“While driving on the highway to work on january 29, 2016 I turned on my wipers to clean the windshield after I turned the wipers off they stopped in the middle of the windshield, effecting my vision while driving. Once off, they will intermittently turn themselves on and off for a period sometimes stopping in the field of vision.”

“Every time I drive in pouring rain, it is very hard to see and have to slow way down. The wipers are not fast enough to keep the rain off windshield on this 2011 Ford Fusion. This is a safety issue and should be corrected by Ford. (I had a buick before this car and it had a fast wiper speed). I believe this windshield motor should be recalled and replaced with a faster motor. Looks like I will be buying a buick next time.”

NHTSA complaint #10660367, filed 2014-11, 4,000 miles

“The windows and sun roof on my Ford Fusion 2011 opens on their own when no one is around the car. My car was 200 miles away from me and friend found windows and sunroof opened. Had to make trip to car in order to close windows. Ford dealer said that this could not possibly happen even though the taurus had the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10410778, filed 2011-07, 3,000 miles

“The fan blower to the air condition failed to work after a short park. The dealership told me the wire and resister had burned, did not know which happened first. I was told it could cause a fire so the parts were disconnected. Until new parts were installed. My concern is this vehicle was parked in my garage and this could have been a much bigger problem . I also am concerned that I am not the only one. Why should this happen to a car less than 2 years old.”
