“Odometer roll back was found to be a problem after I bought the car and took it to a Ford dealership which they voluntarily did the Carfax for me and that is how I've come to find out that the odometer has been rolled back some point in time last year before I bought the car”
NHTSA complaint #11677216, filed 2025-07“04/13/2023 - While on the highway my 2022 mustang GT instrument cluster and infotainment screens both went black. It took me off guard and pulled to the side of the road and soon discovered I had no turn signals or hazard lights, I am unsure if I had brake lights. I happened to be only a couple of exits away from Tasca Ford dealership in Berlin, CT so I drove directly there. They are currently in possession of the vehicle and will do diagnostics, they were fully booked and it may be a week before they get to it. …”
NHTSA complaint #11516997, filed 2023-04“While driving approximately 45 mph and entering a highway, my 2022 Ford Mustang GT California Special suddenly lost power and shut off completely. The engine stalled without warning, creating a dangerous situation with surrounding traffic. I had to coast the vehicle and restart it. This vehicle has an open safety recall (NHTSA Recall Number 25V455 / Ford Recall 25S75) related to a low-pressure fuel pump failure that can cause engine stalling while driving. The recall has been open for several months, and there is currently no available remedy or repair from the manufacturer. …”
NHTSA complaint #11704989, filed 2025-12“The Mustang window is supposed to retract approximately 1/2 when the door is opened or shut. My vehicle does this BUT the window will not return to the fully closed position when the door is shut. This is a safety Hazzard as the window tries to fully close but then goes down a 1/2 and returns to fully closed repeatedly while I am driving; this leads to driver distraction on the road, a very hazardous situation. It also leaves the vehicle vulnerable to theft as with the window 1/2 down it is very easy for a thief to stick in a wire and activate the automatic door unlocks.”
NHTSA complaint #11578073, filed 2024-03“The contact owns a 2022 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that after being stored in the brand-new garage with concrete flooring, the vehicle failed to start without warning. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the soy-based wires had been damaged by rodents. The voltage box and security box wires were chewed on by mice. The same failure had occurred the prior year. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and confirmed there was no warranty coverage or presumption of law for a buyback. The failure mileage was approximately 6,100.”
