“I suspect an electrical problem/short is causing my passenger side window to open and close about half an inch uncontrollably. This has been a minor inconvenience but last time it happened, it triggered the passenger door to open when driving. I had to pull over to manually secure the door. Very troubling safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11755854, filed 2026-08

“- The light of the airbag and seatbelt came on my dashboard, went to the dealership and they told me that there's an issue with the control module, apparently there is a recall for that but since my car wasn't called they could repair. - Backup camera goes completely off when trying to go on reverse.”

NHTSA complaint #11616690, filed 2024-09

“The rearview camera display threw up a blue screen then proceeded to throw up a back screen and told me “Camera is unavailable. Please contact dealership.” From my knowledge, there is a current recall out for this particular issue. I was attempting to back into a parking spot when this happened and I was surrounded by vehicles when this happened. There were no warnings on the vehicle dash or in the app. I would like this fixed as soon as possible.”

NHTSA complaint #11684550, filed 2025-09

“I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recurring issue with the rear camera system in my 2020 Ford Mustang. When attempting to engage the rear camera while reversing, a persistent blue screen obstructs the view, posing a significant safety hazard. After conducting thorough research, I have discovered that this problem is not isolated to my vehicle alone. Instead, it appears to be a widespread issue affecting numerous owners of Ford Mustangs. …”

The dealer said there are no recalls under my vin number and vehicle was not repaired. I sent a certified letter to ford March 29, 2026 to Ford Motor Company and I have had no response. 2015 thru 2022 Mustangs have this well known defect.
