“I purchased 4 uniroyal long touring p215/60r16 tires from wal-mart. At 5,000 miles I had the tires rotated at wal-mart. After rotating the tires, the next day there was a tremendous vibration while driving. Wal-mart says there are flat spots in the tire tread on all four tires and this was caused by alignment and suspension. Wal-mart manager said to have alignment and suspension checked and then they would replace warranted tires. Alignment and suspension checked and found to be in order. Wal-mart manager refuses to change tire. …”
NHTSA complaint #10386954, filed 2011-03“The contact owns a 2005 Ford Taurus. The vehicle has continental touring contact as, size p215/60r16 tires. While driving 60 MPH, the steering wheel would shake. The dealer stated that all four tires were worn. The contact discovered that the tire pressure in each tire was low by one pound. The current and failure mileages were 22,000. Updated 02/01/08.”
