Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My vehicle failed while in motion. I lost power to the vehicle and power steering. Just before the car failed, I heard a pop and a warning light came on that said Check Electric Vehicle System . The car's ICCU failed and caused failures of the battery and 12v battery. My safety and everyone on the road around me's safety was put at risk when I lost the ability to accelerate or use power steering. The car was towed to a dealer and the dealer confirmed the issue. …”

NHTSA complaint #11716883, filed 2026-02

“I was driving on the road when suddenly the car started an alarm sound, with the message in the heads up display to stop immediately and check the brake system . I pulled over into the nearest side street and parked the car. When I put it back in drive, I had lost power steering, and half of the warning indicators had lit up, including but not limited to: power steering warning, brake warning, charging system warning, oil pressure warning, master warning light, parking brake and brake fluid warning, ABS Warning, and AWD warning. …”

NHTSA complaint #11685010, filed 2025-09

“Vehicle has physically and forcibly moved both forward and backward, on its own, after being placed in Park and the engine turned off — including after occupants have exited the vehicle. This movement has struck the driver and two minor children on multiple separate occasions, as well as nearby curbs and objects, without physical injury. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared before or during these incidents. Because the movement occurs after occupants have exited the vehicle, it is unknown how many additional times this may have occurred unobserved. …”

NHTSA complaint #11761932, filed 2026-09

“When Highway Driving Assist / Lane Following Assist is active — confirmed by illuminated green HDA and lane assist indicators — the vehicle applies uncommanded steering torque, to the left or to the right, strong enough to force the vehicle out of its lane. This occurred on every drive, daily, from delivery on 7/2/2026 (approximately 23,200 miles) until the vehicle was brought in for service on 7/13/2026. The behavior was identical regardless of lane markings (solid, dotted, or absent) and road geometry (straight or curved), at highway speed and on local roads at approximately 30 mph. …”
