“I have had 2 engines replaced in this truck and now the air conditioning is not working and plus no power steering. The truck will steer upon speed. Cannot parallel park because of this. When making a turn regardless of left or right I have to step on the gas in order to steer the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11244807, filed 2019-08, 106,255 miles

“My check engine light came on and I thought it was the gas cap as it continued to go on and off. I had someone check the codes and it came back with p0017 and p0008. In addition now the A/C button won't stay on. It blinks then turns off. I've read numerous complaints about the same problems from other owners and that Gmc will not honor their poor manufacturer workmanship. Is anyone helping the consumer?”

NHTSA complaint #10983172, filed 2017-05, 120,000 miles

“After I pull into my driveway and put my car in park and turn off the ignition the car gets stuck in park and wont shift back out for hours. Also when I'm driving the car states that the engine is in reduced power and the traction control is off and to service stabilitrak. This is a common problem with this vehicle of all years from 2007 to the present it needs to be fixed 6 deaths so far and still no recall to fix my car I dont want to end up being another death if you dont fix this issue”

NHTSA complaint #11195929, filed 2019-04, 136,000 miles

“While im driving my doors lock and unlock th wa bmy RPM jumps up to 5or6 causing the transmission skip gears then it will cut off. My vehicle has been at the dealershop since june 5th. They replaced so many things on it including the transmission and when I picked it up on 7-27-18 while on 95 my truck did the same thing, scariest thing ive ever dealt with causing me to have to go to the side of the road cause my doors locked and unlocked RPM jumped to 6 and smelled like something was burning and it cut off.”

NHTSA complaint #11114418, filed 2018-07, 140,875 miles

“Current recall states: the affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall. My vehicle is currently having this problem. The back lift gate will open and then with great force closes down quickly. This is an extreme safety concern as I was struck by it on monday 10/26/2015 when the problem initially occurred. After speaking with Gmc there is currently no resolve. …”
