“I have a 2007 Gmc SIERRA 2500 hd crew cab slt pickup 4d 6 ft., purchased new in o7, with about 70,000 miles on it. I just had the right front axle come apart. It seems the rubber boot and two metal bands that clamp the boot onto both parts of the axle hold the axle together.”

NHTSA complaint #10434334, filed 2011-11, 70,000 miles

“A pressure line on steering cooler rusted through and blew fluid out all over grill and bumper. Makes one hell of a noise with no fluid in pump. I was driving 10 MPH when it happened and had to go about 1/4 mile to park.”
