“On 4/11/15 at 3:00 am we were woken up to see our Honda crv ex which was parked on our driveway next to our house was engulfed in fire. It was a ball of fire. The last it was driven was on 4/9/15 at 5:00 pm, so the car was not drive for 34 hours. We did not have any problems prior to this incident. The car was completely burned and there is damaged to our house because of the car fire.”
NHTSA complaint #10705199, filed 2015-04, 96,000 miles“The tailgate latch and handle is rusted and the latch and handle assembly needs to be replaced on my 2000 Honda CR-V. At the same time the hinges on the driver's and front passenger's doors were squealing. I used a little bit of wd-40 and it stopped the hinge squealing after a couple of sprays. I have kept all of the maintenance schedules to-date.”
NHTSA complaint #10342374, filed 2010-07, 120,000 miles“1. Front passenger powered door lock does not work. Either with key or driver side lever, it makes an audible scratching/raking sound, but stays unlocked. It can be locked manually, and unlocks normally. 2. Rear glass door had problem unlocking with the mechanical key - but would unlock remotely from driver side - for several months. Now it has cured itself somehow, but could reappear.”
NHTSA complaint #10712033, filed 2015-04, 100,000 miles“I have multiple issues with vehicle: 1) engine stalls while driving, which interrupts power steering. This occurs generally within the first mile of driving, now daily. Initially, problem occurred at random, once or twice per month. Regular service checks revealed no problem. The car runs without problems all day once the initial stalling of the engine has occurred. Consumer information has found this to be an ignition switch problem, but Honda-authorized service dealer refused to acknowledge any recall or problem on this model on 1/17/2004. …”
NHTSA complaint #10056320, filed 2004-02, 33,000 miles“The contact stated while driving various speeds on the highway, the rear hatch door opened without warning. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who determined the rear hatch door latch was inoperative and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified.”
