“Hello, the front right door of my car doesn't unlock at all and the back left door doesn't lock. Honda already has acknowledged the issue but this expired on 2015. Because the front door doesn't unlock it's a safety issue and the cost to fix is very expensive as the door needs to be deassembled. There cost to open the door and fix it is almost 500 dollars. I have called Honda but they are saying the product warranty expired on 2015.”

NHTSA complaint #11267660, filed 2019-10, 175,000 miles

“The passenger door locks and unlocks itself. It tries to re-lock and then opens. It continues to do this repeatedly. I cannot lock the passenger door. The problem appears to be with the actuator. The rear hatchback door also will not unlock when it is hot (over 80 degrees). I can't lock the doors on the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10615239, filed 2014-07, 82,000 miles

“In march of 2013 the passenger door started to lock itself immediately following me unlocking it. I thought it was a fuse problem. Then on may 26,2013 my child noticed that the back passenger door had begun to do the same thing. To fix the problem on both doors would be upwards of $440+. This seems to be a serious issue with all crvs and a real safety issue for those with young children.”

NHTSA complaint #10513783, filed 2013-05, 80,000 miles

“I have the 2008 CR-V. About 2 months ago, all my door locks started automatically locking and unlocking themselves at around 9 or 10 miles per hour. I'm afraid to let my kids ride in the back seat now. What if one of them decided to hang on to the door handle and it opened accidentally while we were moving? I hope Honda gets a handle of this problem and issues a recall to fix the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10535876, filed 2013-08, 114,000 miles

“I was at a dead stop when I was rear ended from a lady travelling about 50 I was wondering if my air bags should have gone off I am suffering from neck and back injuries from this accident and I feel my vehicle should have been totalled they fixed it paying 10,600 to the repair place and it still doesnt look right.”
