“Took my ca in for scheduled maintenance service to the dealers and they said my structs and or shocks seals are cracked and leaking , my car only has 37,000 miles on it. Well taken care of, only use to shopping or doctors. Structs and shocks should not have gotten that bad. Need to find out if an warranty or extenstions are available from the manufacture. Honda corp. ?????”

NHTSA complaint #11075835, filed 2018-03, 37,000 miles

“While driving my passenger rear wheel collapsed. Got it towed to riverside Honda in marquette mi. Was told the wheel rusted through the frame. We were lucky we weren't killed. After researching I found canada has recalled 83,000 of the same year make and model. They were offering to buy back or fix vehicles if possible. I was told it can't be fixed. Honda USA corporation says we do not have any such issue. I dont believe it. What action do I take as they said its my problem ?”

NHTSA complaint #11196859, filed 2019-04, 160,000 miles

“We had our 2008 Honda crv into the local dealer for an alignment. During the alignment, they had pointed out corrosion issues with the rear frame on the passenger side where the rear trailing arm mounts to the frame. They said that eventually, the vehicle would not be safe. I had a body shop look at the frame and they said that the drivers side is solid but appears to be weak. On our way home from the store, we hit a rabbit on the highway. The vehicle drove fine at the time. …”

NHTSA complaint #11217675, filed 2019-06, 191,000 miles

“I bought my 2008 crv used in 2010 and soon after put on 4 new tires. Now it is 2014 and I put on another new set of tires. I wondered why I needed tires so soon, well now I know. I bought 4 new tires and when they tried to do the alignment they told me I needed to buy a camber kit and showed me the picture of the alignment after. They were unable to align the right rear passenger wheel without this added kit. I can't afford this.”

NHTSA complaint #10653684, filed 2014-11, 90,000 miles

“The 2008 crv pulls to the right when over 40 MPH. There were 2 wheel alignments done recently, and the dealer says there is nothing wrong with the car. When you drive the car and let go of the steering wheel it pulls to the right. It takes constant pressure on the steering wheel to keep the car driving in a straight line. In my opinion this is a safety issue. The dealer says there is nothing wrong. I disagree and will not buy another Honda crv. This is a safety issue.”
