“2011 Honda crv 4x4 was going at 52 MPH and trying to brake and steering wheel was shaking really bad. Also when driving at 65+ MPH this car steering really shakes badly. -complaint it to Honda motor / dealer where car was purchased but no real help from anyone to fix the problem. - all 4-tires are worn un-evenly at 19000 miles - dealer / Honda motor is not willing to response back or send us email back to acknowledge our complaint about the tires. - they are saying that this is not their problem, I should be complaining to the tire company.”

NHTSA complaint #10502107, filed 2013-03, 19,624 miles

“With 28,000 miles now on our 2011 crv that we bought new all 4 tires were worn out with 13,550 miles on them, and had always had a very slight front end bump. After replacing all 4 tires the bump was so bad we went straight back to the tire dealer and tire pressure and balance was rechecked and was fine the tires are firestone. At 100 miles on the tires we went back and had the tires rechecked and rotated with no improvement in the bump. The Honda dealership could only say the original tires were a very soft compound as the new ones are a better tire and does not ride as soft. …”

NHTSA complaint #10475765, filed 2012-09, 300 miles

“After making a right turn the car pulls to the right, Honda calls this memory steering but in bad weather the front has a loss of traction. Vibration starting around 60mph. Tires were change, front end aligned but the vibration still remains. Feels like a shaft problems. A complaint is file with the bbb.”

NHTSA complaint #10451094, filed 2012-03, 2,266 miles

“I bought my car in 2021, and starting immediately I had issues with my tires going flat, my suspension jolting any time a bump was hit, my gear shift does not fully shift into park which makes it nearly impossible to get my key out of the ignition, I was given a spare key to someone else’s car and was never issued a new one, and dealership (CarMax) has not made an attempt to help with repair on current safety recall.”

NHTSA complaint #11568326, filed 2024-01

“On March 15, 2023, I was driving on clear, dry pavement at approx. 50 mph when I heard a loud bang from the rear of my Honda CR-V and almost lost control of my steering. I maintained enough control to stay on the roadway and brought the car to a stop after about 200 yards. I had the car towed to my regular mechanic who told me that the suspension had fallen away from the frame of the car and it wasn't fixable. I contacted Honda at an 800 number and was told that I needed to have a Honda dealership confirm the problem, which I did. …”
