“Driver side door does not lock at all. Front passenger door locks immediately after pressing unlock. All doors lock and unlock while driving. It started about a year and a half ago and was worse in warm weather. Now, it's just bad all the time. It's a safety issue if I can't lock the car even with the key in the driver's door. My wife and I are the original owners.”

NHTSA complaint #10579725, filed 2014-04, 65,000 miles

“The door locks on the driver side won't open and I had problems getting out of the car. Then when the car was all locked, I couldn't open the car, even with the actual key inside. It took leaving the car and letting it rest to finally get inside the car with the key. While driving the locks kept opening and locking inside the car. Not very safe.”

NHTSA complaint #10543654, filed 2013-09, 68,000 miles

“The door actuator went out first on my passenger front door and automatically locks now every time I stop the actuators cycles on all 4 doors and tries to relock. This is very annoying and also I like to add please don't waste your money on the black chrome rims mine are peeling solid chrome is not supposed to peel so that was $3000 wasted.”

NHTSA complaint #10501351, filed 2013-03, 108,000 miles

“I am experiencing a power door locking problem with the back seat / passenger side door lock. The power locking system keeps trying to lock the door while driving and it produces a constant clicking sound. I am unable to secure my door. From my research, it appears that I have a bad actuator and this is a common problem for Honda CR-V's.”

NHTSA complaint #10513351, filed 2013-05, 85,000 miles

“The passenger door locks and unlocks itself. It tries to re-lock and then opens. It continues to do this repeatedly. I cannot lock the passenger door. The problem appears to be with the actuator. The rear hatchback door also will not unlock when it is hot (over 80 degrees). I can't lock the doors on the vehicle.”
