“The front 2 doors lock and unlock at random times. The front passenger door would not allow my daughter to get out of car or allow me to open manually from the outside. The is a very big safety hazard. Honda dealership wants $400.00 per door to fix. I guess they are waiting until someone dies from this to recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10522103, filed 2013-06, 67,000 miles

“While driving to work, just coming off the highway, I noticed my car became very difficult to control. I immediately pulled over, and saw my back driver's side tire at a very strange angle. I called the tow truck. We both looked under the car, and it appeared to be that the arm came dislodged from the frame on that side due to extensive corrosion. When coming home I googled the issue, and saw canada had a safety recall for this exact problem, in humid areas that use salt for de-icing. …”

NHTSA complaint #11290575, filed 2019-12, 200,000 miles

“My 2007 Honda CR-V, passenger door locks itself immediately after unlock by the main lock/unlock switch, key fob or the manual tab in the door. We have to be very precise in unlocking and pulling the door at the same time. Even a second delay could bring the boor back in to unlock position. This can be very dangerous in case of fire or accident as the passenger can not unlock and escape from the vehicle. Please look in to it. Thanks”

NHTSA complaint #10621433, filed 2014-08, 60,000 miles

“As I was driving down a city street, the right rear suspension control arm came loose from the frame. The right wheel tire subsequently became lodged against the rear of the wheel well at an angle. I was able to maneuver the car to the side of the road. Police arrived to block off the nearest lane so I could safely be towed from the scene, as the car was undrivable. I am fortunate that this did not happen at high speed, as I do not believe I would have safely been able to maintain control of the vehicle. The control arm came loose due to excessive rust on the frame. …”

NHTSA complaint #11360669, filed 2020-09, 197,400 miles

“We have a 2007 Honda crv and have been having issues with our locks. They will click numerous times when they are not supposed to...everytime a stop is made while driving the car they reclick. It can be a stop sign, stop light, or just a brief stop and we will hear a clicking sound like they are relocking. We have often noticed that when someone tries to enter the driver door or front passenger door the unlock mechanism on the key or driver door has to be hit at the exact same time for a person to be able to open the door. …”
