“About 2 months ago my passenger front window started going up very slowly. Then it began to not come up every few day. It would go down like normal. About two wweeks ago it went down by accident and has not come back up. I cant drive it now because we are having bad weather in memphis, tn. Ive been researching and saw where others have had ths same problem with no resolution. I have not pics because it will only show the window down.”
NHTSA complaint #11099349, filed 2018-06, 140,000 miles“While driving on the interstate highway, my A/C stopped blowing cold air. Took it to Honda dealership and firestone autocare. I was told the compressor has busted. The total repair was quoted at us$1300. This seems to be a common problem for Honda crvs and I am surprise that there has been no recalls yet. It is very disappointing and disgusting that in the time of the economy we are forced to bear the cost of a manufacturing defect. Honda seems to give you a run around excuse. I live in chicago where 9 months out of 12 months you do not need an A/C. …”
NHTSA complaint #10416265, filed 2011-07, 49,500 miles“This is the third winter with our 2007 Honda CR-V and there is a huge design flaw affecting the proper functioning of the windshield wipers during precipitation in cold weather. The snow and ice builds up in the large well beneath the wiper blades, causing the wiper blades to get stuck on this snow and ice, as well as the frozen precipitation sticking to the wiper blades. We have to constantly stop, get out of the car and break up the ice and snow from the well and the wiper blades in order for them to function correctly and safely. …”
NHTSA complaint #10261929, filed 2009-03, 100 miles“When checking washer fluid, I noticed the fluid was not visible, so I added the proper fluid. As nothing happened, I looked under car, & the washer solution was running out on the concrete floor, as I poured it into jug. Upon further examination, I found pieces of the tubing that had been chewed on, and in some areas, chewed completely through. One of these areas I was able to access via a plastic door, about 12 inches wide, by about 2 inches in height, located under the hood, in the center of the firewall, just below the windshield wipers. I found pieces of tubing in this area, also. …”
NHTSA complaint #10459607, filed 2012-05, 10,000 miles“The side visibility on my 2007 Honda crv is dangerous. I have never had a problem like this with any of the numerous vehicles I have owned. This has happened multiple times at a variety of speeds. Regardless of how I set the side view mirrors, I have nearly caused collisions because of the 'blind spot.' because I am aware of this design deficiency, I am as careful as possible when changing lanes, I use my signal, look in the mirror, turn my head and then look in the mirror again. Nevertheless, this is not sufficient. This does not happen when I drive other vehicles. …”
