“Car was parked. We were in and out of the vehicle, heard a pop. Looked and the sunroof was deformed outward/severe curvature in the sunroof. Looked inside from underneath and sun roof was shattered. Naturally when driving back at highway speeds it continued to break away until we could duct tape it and drive 400 miles home. Dealership tried to blame 'a rock' I called b.s. On that. Given we own three Honda's they fixed it on warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #11040287, filed 2017-10, 45,000 miles

“The tips of the windshield washer fluid dispenser freezes in really cold temperatures and didn't unfreeze until the temperature got to 44 degrees. So we drove over one hour in the snow with no windshield washer fluid and couldn't see out the front windshield with all the dirty snow and mud smearing on the windshield. We put fresh water on the windshield but that kept it clean for about one mile only. This was driving on hwy. 80 in the sierra's. It was very scary and dangerous.”

NHTSA complaint #10816657, filed 2015-12, 67,000 miles

“Dear sir: I recently purchased a brand new 2008 Honda crv and am largely happy with it. However, on several occasions I have come dangerously close to having an accident when changing lanes due to what I consider to be an exceptionally large blind spot that is not covered by any of the mirrors. Even turning my head around is not always adequate, and is itself dangerous when driving at highway speeds.”

NHTSA complaint #10235783, filed 2008-07, 3,000 miles

“Approx 6 months ago a crack started in the front windshield on the passenger side. It started from the top rubber gasket & was in alignment with the window visor holder. There were no visible signs of damage on the outside of the car. We had the window replaced by safelight window repair company. Now we have a crack starting on the drivers side front windshield & running down from the top rubber gasket & also in direct alignment with the visor holder. A considerable amount of pressure must be applied to seat the visor back into the holder. …”

NHTSA complaint #10785473, filed 2015-10, 35,000 miles

“5-27-12, my husband was driving our CR-V 2008 within the city limits of jax. Bch, fl. He slowed from 15 to 2 MPH, turning a corner, and the rear hatch window exploded. A large basket-ball shaped circle hole appeared in the rear window. The glass from the hole exploded outside the vehicle. Immediately 3/4 of the remaining window glass dropped from inside the rear window frame onto the vehicle floor. He checked for outside car glass debris, then drove the car to our condo less than a mile away. …”
