2025 Honda CR-V Steering Problems

“I contacted the Honda dealership on November 22, 2024 regarding my recall and was told there was a waitlist. I followed up in December 2024 and was told there was still a waitlist. I called again on 2/4/2025 and was told that no parts for the recall have come in and that there is no ETA on it. The first contact that I made was more than 60 days ago.”

“A clicking sound is heard every time I turn the vehicle, and the steering wheel feels like it’s a bit stuck. I know there was a gearbox recall but my vehicle was not included on this recall. I read al the symptoms for the electric gearbox defect and it matches what I am experiencing with my car.”

“Steering wheel became locked or froze up during drive. It happened several times on different days without advanced warning. Service department of dealership checked it but didn’t find anything wrong, they didn’t observe this problem during checking. But this problem persists after I drove the car back from service dept. I am so afraid that it will result in serious accidents.”

“I purchased a brand new 2025 CRV on Sept. 29, 2024. 3 months after purchase, I started noticing a noise when I would make a turn. It sounded like rocks being thrown around. It turned out to be my cable reel/clock spring. A month after replacement, my steering wheel started making a clicking noise when driving straight or turning. It was confirmed again that it was the cable reel/clock spring… only this time, they put padding around to “please me.””
