“Since purchasing the vehicle, I've had several incidents where my safety and those inside my vehicle are compromised due to the loss of drive power and stalling of the vehicle while driving. I've complained to the dealer for which they continued to assure me that there was no problem detected during the safety inspections. Recently I received the recall notice to replace the fuel pump module which was causing the issues that I've experienced with my vehicle. I took my vehicle to the dealer on 11/11/24, where it was serviced to correct the recall issues. …”
NHTSA complaint #11632781, filed 2024-12, 76,000 miles“While driving at low speed in the process of shifting between 3 and 4th gear van shifts very hard . So much so that at times my body is thrusted forward which causes me to momentarily lose sight of road. While shifting it seems to vehicle seems lunge at higher speed. This occurs at low RPM and will usually occur when speed hits 24mph. Hard shift also occurs when slowing down but not as common . This occurs when driving on stop and go traffic when it requires driving at lower speeds. …”
NHTSA complaint #11287156, filed 2019-12, 1 miles“Car has under 7000 miles. Engine struggles with power in lower gears. There is also a jump when shifting from reverse to forward. The jump feel like a transmission gear transfer issue. Today as an example, when departing from a traffic light, I had to fully compress the gas pedal to get the engine to respond. In general, the lower gears feel sluggish and this has been the case since purchase. The engine simply sounds different than any of our previous Honda Odyssey's. At higher speeds, on a highway, the engine is responsive. …”
NHTSA complaint #11221239, filed 2019-06, 6,500 miles“After a week of driving a brand new Honda Odyssey 2019, with 177 mileage, the car had transmission problems, blind spot info system problem, and emission system problem. As I was exiting the freeway, I noticed the car was not accelerating when I pushed the gas pedal. When the gas pedal was pushed, I saw the RPM increased to 5000-6000r/min and I heard loud vroom noise coming our from my car. While the car still had some momentum right off the freeway, I made two right turn and came to a complete stop at the stop sign near my apartment. …”
NHTSA complaint #11196182, filed 2019-04, 177 miles“2019 Honda ex-l has exhibited a knocking noise from idle to around 2000 RPM under load since new. The vehicle currently has 10,000 miles and has been to 3 separate Honda dealerships a total of 7 times. The vehicle has been reviewed by a 3rd party ase certified mechanic that cited the noise is not normal.”
