“When driving the car it makes a weird sound while I wait in a red or stop sign then feels like the van goes backwards. If I try to turn on the engine it's really hard I try to drive or reverse the the van starts shaking and the engine turns off.”

NHTSA complaint #11297080, filed 2020-01, 35 miles

“Broken engine mounts. I fixed the front one in nov 2014. The engine is now rattling while it is idling. I am now being told that the front engine mount needs replacing as well as the rear one. I have seen many Honda chat boards and many others are experiencing this same problem and Honda is not stepping up to help this systemic problem. Hoping this kicks them into gear.”

NHTSA complaint #10711817, filed 2015-04, 130,129 miles

“I was taking care of my timing belt change at dealer and I mentioned my vehicle vibrating a lot lately and I was told that they found front and rear motor mounts broken which is unusual for family van which has only 71000 miles and driven very carefully.cost of repair is about 2000 dollars and I saw many complaints online when I searched about it.”

NHTSA complaint #10556288, filed 2013-12, 71,200 miles

“While traveling on the highway and approaching speeds between 45mph to 65mph the entire car started to shake violently, as if the car was going to fall apart. I immediately brought it to an independent dealer and I was informed the engine motor mounts were failing.”

NHTSA complaint #10819269, filed 2016-01, 100,000 miles

“The spark plug blew out of the cylinder head while driving on a major 8 lane highway at 65 MPH. If I didn't react quickly & there was a car to the right of me, I very easily could've been in a dangerous accident. Unsure if there was any engine damage.”
