“The contact owns a 2020 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the rear hatch tailgate door opened unintendedly. The vehicle was previously taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with electronic tailgate door control module failure, which was caused by water intrusion from the roof drainage system. The control module was replaced but the failure reoccurred on two other occasions, and the electronic tailgate door control module was replaced by the owner. …”

This poses many obvious security and safety risks to a Honda vehicle owner. Example, someone could gain access to a locked vehicle and steal contents. Or they could enter and hide in the back and attack someone. Or they could unlock the car and use the built in garage door opener to gain access to a home. …”
