“when I start the car, I get 8 or so warnings: Adaptive cruise control, Automatic emergency braking, forward Collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, etc. the air bag warning for passenger also blinks. the dealer indicates this is a faulty front camera and will require about $2500 to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11758803, filed 2026-08

“We hit a pot hole on a city street going 30-35 and it caused the airbags on both sides of the van to deploy. There was no damage to the van, rim, or tire. In addition, when the passenger airbag deployed my wife received a burn on her arm.”

NHTSA complaint #11608011, filed 2024-08

“While driving at approximately 12 mph on slightly snowy roads, my vehicle slipped and made a light impact with the sidewalk curb. Despite the minor nature of the collision, the entire left-side curtain airbag and seat airbag deployed with full force, as if a severe accident had occurred. This deployment was unexpected and excessive given the low-speed impact. I have found multiple online reports of similar incidents involving premature or overly sensitive airbag deployment in Honda vehicles, which raises concerns about a potential safety defect. …”

NHTSA complaint #11681560, filed 2025-08

“The rear passenger side tire hit a pothole and it caused all of the airbags to deploy on April 6, 2026. The impact should not have set the airbags off. This has caused a severe rash/burn on my son's face and neck. The vehicle is now being totaled by my insurance company and forcing me to have to purchase a new vehicle and my insurance rates to go up. Three days later, April 9, 2026, a safety recall on the over-sensitive airbags was issued for this Odyssey. There were no other warnings leading up to this. Insurance has inspected the vehicle and deemed it a total loss.”

NHTSA complaint #11731509, filed 2026-04

“My 2020 Honda Odyssey started showing SRS problem error on its 4th year of ownership. Since it’s not under warranty after 3 years I spent close to 1k to replace SRS computer module by dealership from where I purchased my car. Same error came back a month later and again I took it to dealer and they said it has loose connection on cable and fix the loose connection. About a month later SRS light came back again and then I took it to dealer and he said connection is good but one of the connector is not sending the signal to SRS module. …”
