Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Air bag sign is on and stays on. Also the door on the passenger and driver sliding will not close or open properly. They open when driving automatically. It has been a problem for so long but my mom has not reported. The paint has chip away and we did not get a recall notice. I checked and now it is too late.”

NHTSA complaint #11207925, filed 2019-05, 145,000 miles

“Airbag sensor light comes on intermittently in dashboard. This is happening from dec 31st 2014. But not seeing this sensor light all the time in dash board. When I check for Honda recall online with my car VIN#, my car is not showing the recall for airbag's replacement. Please let me know how to get this done with Honda for free of charge.”

NHTSA complaint #10681961, filed 2015-02, 96,300 miles

“Takata recall. My Honda van has the airbag warning light intermittently on. Most days, it is not lit, but for instance, driving today, I got the light. Van has never been in an accident and is still the original factory installed equipment. Airbags don't fail unless it is faulty manufacturer such as part of takata recall. Honda van recall is limited to 2004 but I think 2005 can also be affected.”

NHTSA complaint #10993334, filed 2017-06, 125,000 miles

“Air bag lights comes on intermittently days or weeks apart. No recalls listed for my VIN. Seat belt light does the same thing but much less frequently. Again, no recall listed for my VIN. No outward defects. This concerns me due to many other air bag recalls. This is a family car. It was purchased with the safety of my children in mind. We are not feeling very safe.”

NHTSA complaint #10744294, filed 2015-07, 135,000 miles

“Our vehicle has a safety recall for the problem we have with our vehicle (NHTSA recall # 05v-344) but our VIN is not included. Since the exact problem we have is part of a recall the make/model/year of our vehicle, we are questioning why our VIN is not included, and questioning whether the recall should be expanded to include other vins (including our number).”
