NHTSA complaint #11341839, filed 2020-07, 150,000 miles“Subaru/Honda dealership refused to acknowledge secondary safety recall for fuel pump module, possible fire and explosion. ($710.31 repair estimate) dealership inspection showed additional safety issues/repairs needed to steering and axles that exceeded $6,000.00 in repairs. Vehicle purchased and sold with no concern for safety or dependability. All trust violated, we can not trust this dealership with repair or service of our vehicles. Dealership refused to acknowledge even after investigation by the ohio attorney general. …”
NHTSA complaint #11315559, filed 2020-03, 203,144 miles“I want people to know that Honda now has a software fix for shuddering transmission problems and shaking. Our 2005 Odyssey touring would shake between 35-45 MPH. We had the transmission serviced several time and never had a broken engine mount. Honda just came out with this fix in late june 2012 and it seems to have solved our problem. Our Honda garage installed this software update for free even though we now have 122k. It only takes 15 minutes. Hope this helps.”
NHTSA complaint #10465693, filed 2012-07, 75,000 miles“Car was vibrating for over a year. Took it to dealership numerous times and they couldn't tell me what it was. Recently got into a car accident. Had car repaired. On the way home car started vibrating violently and vsa light came on. Car stopped working. Towed to shop and was told fuel pump needed to be replaced due to bad gas. I asked for sample of gas. Have yet to receive it. Need to know what to do. I saw recall on fuel pump 2005 model year.”
NHTSA complaint #10366720, filed 2010-11, 107,584 miles“3 weeks ago my family complained that they smelled gas inside and outside the car, I later smelled it also. I brought it to a mechanic and they found out the fuel pump has cracks on the top cover and that is causing the leak. I looked into it online and found out from 2005 to 2010 there was recalls on the fuel pump module. I contacted Honda and the told me my vehicle was not affected based on my VIN. I started the car this past friday and the car turned off and leaked out fuel from the bottom. It seems I have the same problem as everyone else who has had a problem with these Honda odysseys. …”
