“I was leaving a parking lot when I heard a very loud bang. My vehicle then continued to make noises when going over bumps. I brought the van to a Honda dealership where it was identified both rear coil springs broke at the base and need replacement.”

NHTSA complaint #11752347, filed 2026-07

“I have been getting front end clunking noise since I bought vehicle. Honda is not able to identify and resolve issue after taking to multiple dealers. And after 5 years and 45k miles white paint started flaking in different penal of car”

NHTSA complaint #11674714, filed 2025-07

“When driving from West Hartford to Westerly on June 3, serious banging started coming from the left rear undercarriage. I stopped by a local Midas shop which identified the problem as a totally broken rear spring which created a dangerous driving situation. At the time, the van had 57K miles on it. The shop strongly advised that we should consider the van as inoperable, and we subsequently had them make repairs. I contacted the dealer, Westbrook Honda in Westbrook CT,. …”

NHTSA complaint #11689731, filed 2025-09

“The driver side rear coil spring broke abruptly on both the top and bottom leaving the majority of the spring mechanically unattached. The driver side rear shock also broke from the additional strain on it. With a complete loss of suspension on the rear driver side, as I hit bumps on the freeway, I could feel the van jerking quickly nearly sending me out of the lane. If it was slippery with rain or snow, I felt like the van would spin out. The broken parts were confirmed and shown to me by an independent service center. …”

NHTSA complaint #11755377, filed 2026-08

“The rear coil springs on my vehicle failed before reaching 100000 miles. This affected the performance of the suspension system which reduced steering response and stability at highway speeds. It also likely caused early failure of the rear shocks which had to be replaced at about 105000 miles. The problem also lead to uneven tire wear increasing the risk of a tire blowout. The springs are currently being replaced with Honda OEM parts at a mechanic shop.”
