“I was driving 25 miles when the rear axle broke. According to research, this is a part that was not replaced in recall in 2013. I need the repair because the car is not moving. I almost crashed the car with another one. We were my pregnant wife and me. Recall 113”

NHTSA complaint #11398633, filed 2021-03, 25 miles

“Three out of my four door handles have fallen off of my vehicle. The first two fell off while the vehicle was under warranty. The third recently fell off and I had to pay for labor to have it repaired. I feel this should be a recall as the part that holds the door handle on is obviously faulty and I don't feel I should be responsible for the cost of the repair or labor.”

NHTSA complaint #10448440, filed 2012-02, 29,000 miles

“I was driving when the rear axle broke. According to research, this is a part not replaced in recall in 2013. Recall 113 I almost collided the vehicle with another one.”

NHTSA complaint #11398631, filed 2021-03, 143 miles

“I own a 2006 Hyundai Sonata and the sun visor has just about disintegrated. It will not stay up and I have tried velcro, tape, etc. It is dangerous because it just flips down while driving. Many other complaints all over the internet. Dealer say not a recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10306800, filed 2010-02, 42,000 miles

“Brought car into dealer as engine light was on. Dealer explained to me that I needed a new gas cap ($200). Did not fix problem and when returned to dealership I was told that I needed to replace the gas tank as it was rotted. I had owned the vehicle for a year but how does a 6 year old car have a rotted gas tank? Dealership (balise toyota, springfield, ma) claimed well that is new england for ya . I am over 70 years old and have owned a number of cars in new england over the years, none of which have ever had a rotted gas tank.”
