“When my brake light bulb went out we tried to change it. It was melted into socket. Took to dealer they said 250.00 for each side. Both sides had melted in. You dont just replace the socket u replace wires and all. 250.00 each side everytime they go out. I have since learned this happens in all Hyundai models and years. Why are they not recalled?”
NHTSA complaint #11386384, filed 2021-01, 60,000 miles“My brakes lights keep going out. Changed multiples time and they burn out. Also the right passenger headlamp keeps blowing out and is much dimmer than the right even when I insert a new bulb. Driving on a dark road is like functioning with one headlamp. After having the engine sensor installed the engine light comes on.”
NHTSA complaint #11306706, filed 2020-02, 50,000 miles“When I turn the left turning signal on, the front lights flickers and switch between high and low beams. Sometimes they turn off. Also the interior dash lights flickers and turn brighter. I also have to replace front and back light bulbs 3 or 4 times in less than a year. I went online and these problems seemed to be a recurrent complain.”
NHTSA complaint #11013092, filed 2017-08, 80,000 miles“I was driving 60 miles an hour on 15 s 930 am in the fast lane. Ok had a 3/4thba tank of gas when my car shook and then the speed declined rapidly. I put my hazards on and moved over basically glided to the side of the road. The car was dead. Lights and radio worked but nothing else. I had it towed to Hyundai hendersen. 4 recalls on the engine and it could have killed me if a car was behind me.”
NHTSA complaint #11231763, filed 2019-07, 139,000 miles“Whenever I put on the indicator at night the headlight turns off,I have to tap the switch for the light to come on. Took it to the dealer and was told that the multi function switch is bad,my car is only 2 years old,how can the switch be bad when I'm the only driver, I think its a factory problem.this is dangerous whenever I'm driving at nights.”
