“In park after car has sat over night or for 24 or more hours, the car will start but will not move into gear the car has less than 50,000 miles on it I have had regular oil changes. I am afraid to go very far for fear I won't be able to start the car and get home. My driveway is gravel and a little bit of an incline. Today was the 3rd time in this week.”

It almost sounds like a lawn mower it's been 3 days now and it's also as of tonight struggled to turn on and when it did the growing sound was exaggeratingly loud . Did it for 15 seconds and then stopped. If the defrost is on is when it makes the knocking noise and the level is on 3. It was only making the noise when I started the car but now if I change to the AC or heat it starts the knocking noise.”

When this occurs the gas pedal goes to the floor and the brakes grinds my tires. U can hear a loud chiming like sound coming from the car. I'm reading this issue with a number of Sonata hybrid.”
