“My 2004 Jeep Liberty is needing new ball joints placed along with the upper control arms. I did see where a recall was placed for most 2002-2006 models. Is this valid and possibly covered on my vehicle? Vehicle not driving properly and has been checked by my local mechanic and he states that the lower ball joints are in very bad condition.”

NHTSA complaint #11078901, filed 2018-03, 132,000 miles

“Ii own this vehicle since 2014 since than I being replace tires almost every year & replaced the suspension arm control, struts/shocks etc. & still have problems will I driving. Shakes & bounces too much I afraid to have an accident or hurts somebody. Specially went am on the open highway (freeways).”

NHTSA complaint #11327255, filed 2020-06, 230,000 miles

“While driving down the highway, I heard a big clunk and then the vehicle began to go back and forth on the road making it difficult to control. Upon inspection the passenger rear control arm fractured. It was very corroded as was the drivers side.it was just in for an alignment.why was my state not included in the recall,we use salt too.”

NHTSA complaint #11014057, filed 2017-08, 156,000 miles

“I have a southern state vehicle experiencing what I believe is a northern state (salt belt) recall. My lower control arms are rusted almost to the point of dangerous. Apparently this is an issue that is not limited to northern states. No failure at this time but it appears it could happen anytime. Nhtsa campaign number: 12v085000”

NHTSA complaint #10991835, filed 2017-05, 130,000 miles

“Vehicle vibrates at any speed and worsens upon braking. Have had alignment done 3 times and alignment keeps failing. Tires are all new. Have had the camber and casters replaced in front, did not help vibration. Brakes have been replaced, vibration persists. Vibration is so powerful upon braking that sterring wheel bounces out of my hands. The vibration when driving sounds like I have a flat tire.”
