“I was leaving wendys a fast food place and the headlights turned on then shut off I tried to turn them on again and they wouldn't come back on. I couldn't leave without lights so I disconnected the battery cables and tied them together for 10 minutes. Then I restarted the car and they worked for a while.”
NHTSA complaint #11283153, filed 2019-12, 209,300 miles“I started my car and my headlights flashed on and off about 3 or 4 times. After that happened I have been unable to get my headlights to stay on the just flash and shut off. My fog lights work properly but other headlights just flash and stay off. I have checked fuses/relays and nothing has changed.”
NHTSA complaint #11252799, filed 2019-09, 100,000 miles“The problems started with the new battery going dead for no reason until I installed security cameras on our house and saw the head lights would randomly turn on and off running the battery dead when the car was parked in the driveway. Then the windshield wipers would come on and not turn off and sometimes the car wouldn't start and when it did on these events it would shake acting like it was running out of gas”
NHTSA complaint #11113452, filed 2018-07, 140,000 miles“When using my remote to unlock my 2008 Jeep Liberty, the horn starts honking, the windshield wipers (front and back) turn on, the windshield washers (front and back) shoot fluid, the door locks won't open and the headlights turn on and off. This has happened four times in the last two months. The headlights have also started turning off while driving and I'm unable to turn them back on.”
NHTSA complaint #10703784, filed 2015-04, 70,457 miles“Signal light fails to turn off immediately when returned to the neutral off) position. During the winter, the turn signal on an 18 deg. F. Morning would not turn off till I had driven for about 15 minutes. I carried the vehicle to the dealership (about 25 miles away) but the dealer was unable to recreate the failure. However, now the signal does the same on warmer days but does not always happen and is not predictable.”
