“When starting my car it drives okay, but if let running all the lights come on, and if I drive 5 minutes down the road it goes off and then bings and all comes back on. I am being told it may be my clockspring and most 2008 jeeps are experiencing that after 100,000 miles but it is not a recall issue. I has the check engine on constantly as well as the airbag sensor.”
NHTSA complaint #11289259, filed 2019-12, 117,000 miles“This cars tipm system is extremely faulty I've had it fixed 3 already and it still acts as of it is possessed. This happened on the freeway where the car started going off by it's self stalled and couldn't do anything about it. I almost died. There has been many complaints about this vehicles tipm system but Jeep refuses to recall them. Also the airbags do not deploy. This is a huge safety issue”
NHTSA complaint #11374174, filed 2020-11, 200,105 miles“My heat shield came loose and detached at 110000 miles while driving. It was obviously resting on moving parts under my vehicle. It made a klattering rattle as the vehicle slowed to a stop where I could check out the problem. The heat shield readily came out when the rear passenger tire was removed to provide access to the part on the side of the road.”
NHTSA complaint #10785264, filed 2015-10, 110,000 miles“Airbag light randomly comes on while driving and the dealer quoted me $400 to repair. I have a 3 and 5 year old. I am concerned that if the air bags deploy while driving with my kids in the car, our lives would be in danger. This cost is also not money that I have just sitting around in a bank account.”
NHTSA complaint #11002802, filed 2017-07, 100,000 miles“Takata recall I was driving on57th st west and my air-bag explode. I did not hit something or something hit me. It was a very, very scared moment. My right arm got burn. Also my sister was in thevehicle wit me her air got burn also. Thank you”
