“150,000mi on my Jeep and my heat has gone completely out. I live in a cold climate area in the north east. . The heat stopped working when the car was moving down the highway causing my windows to fog up dramatically reducing visibility. This fogging has continued and I can no longer drive the vehicle without the windows being partially cracked down.”

NHTSA complaint #11281112, filed 2019-11, 150,000 miles

“For the past 2 years, whenever it rains, water flows in from the top left corner of both front doors. Also, if my vehicle is parked and it rains, next time I drive it water absolutely pours in all over me and the passenger seat, or my passenger.”

NHTSA complaint #11288742, filed 2019-12, 130,000 miles

“Wipers turn on by themselves, sometimes won't work when driving. Radio constantly reprogramming itself. Headlights sometimes come on without turning them on yet occasionally won't work when driving. While driving I've had the radio shut off, trip odometer reset, mileage reset, it's almost like the cpu resets in the middle of driving. Lastly, ive had the entire Jeep stall while stopped at intersections. Most times it takes 2-3 cranks to get it started. Nothing lights up on the dash when I try to start it. These things have happened approximately 30-40 times in the last year. …”

NHTSA complaint #11013093, filed 2017-08, 120,000 miles

“Driver's side (left) exterior side mirror fell off while driving on a city street. Mirror fell into road way posing a hazard for other drivers. Upon recovering mirror I found that the structural base that attached the mirror to the body was severely corroded away and it broke where an attaching bolt affixed the mirror to the mount not at the point the mount attached to the vehicle. My selling dealer covered this under our chrysler extended warranty with a $100 deductible. But this is a common defect and poses a safety hazard both to the owner and others around the vehicle or other drivers.”

NHTSA complaint #10935403, filed 2016-12, 119,000 miles

“Turned on ignition and wipers and headlights turned on with no control, car ignition beeped constantly, all dash lights illuminated, all gauges stopped working (speedometer, fuel, tachometer, temperature) and there was a clicking noise on the transmission. Had to drive home hoping my electrical system wouldn’t shut down while driving home. Narrowed down to faulty TIPM.”
