“Our 2015 Kia Sorento lx with touring package was parked in our driveway when the tailgate window exploded and shattered all over the driveway. Fortunately no one was in or next to it at the time. Vehicle is back at fucilla Kia dealership for repair. It is only one week since we picked up the brand new car and it is already in the shop for repair...not a good omen and we are not happy.”

“Monitor that displays defogger & defroster is not displaying information.......... This monitor is part of the vehicle's multimedia system ......which displays :: GPS, radio channels, heating, air conditions, defrosting-defogger..... I paid $700.00 & $65. 10/05/2018 to replace this same navigation/ multimedia system .....vehicle mileage then was 48,600.... This unit stopped working/ no longer displaying information january 2021. Then mileage of 87,000.. Elk grove Kia said I would have to personally pay to have the multimedia system replace. …”

NHTSA complaint #11415038, filed 2021-05, 87,000 miles

“The wipers and headlights would randomly come in and out of working conditions. You don't know when wipers are working until it starts raining so it was very dangerous. We had to pull over and either wait for the rain to stop or wait until the wipers started working again. The backup camera also comes in and out. You can see the screen warning you to be careful but the camera itself is absent. The door handle fell off onto the floor with no prior warning. No one hit it or anything. …”

NHTSA complaint #11004854, filed 2017-07, 73,000 miles

“The headlights are so dim that I could not see at night. I am forced to drive with the fog lights on for any amount of visibility. I recently replaced the headlights with factory replacements and now the connectors going into the back have failed and power only makes it to the lights when Mercury is in retrograde. This is unacceptable and a severe safety hazard.”

NHTSA complaint #11761812, filed 2026-09

“Low beam headlights are so dim, Si don't allow my wife to drive at night. Had dealer look at them and change bulbs with a small improvement, but after a while they have gotten so dim that even I don't like driving at night.”
