“I was driving to work, making a left turn into the parking lot when the front passenger tire blew. The steering wheel pulled sharply to the right and I was pulled into a curb. This caused over $1600 worth of damage to the car. There was a huge hole in the side wall of the tire and no evidence of any metal or anything in the tire. Also, the tire pressure indicator light has never come on, so I know they were at the proper PSI. I contacted the dealer when the accident happened, and was told they have no responsibility for the tires. …”

“I purchased a new set of 4 kumho tires p205/55r16 89h bsw solus xpert kh20 at 22096 miles on 10/17/2013. Within the 1st 45 days my wife was driving on a rural 4 lane hwy and the tire went down in seconds. Discount tire replaced the tire under the road hazard warranty I purchased. She did not notice hitting anything in the roadway and it was not a blow-out. The tire just quickly deflated over a hundred yards or so. Now within another 45 days I have a bulge in the other front tire. Although discount tire is offering to replace the next one under the road hazard things are not adding up. …”

NHTSA complaint #10561041, filed 2014-01, 24,000 miles

“The 18 inch hankook low profile tires are a death trap in winter. I went down an off ramp sideways. On ice and snow the original manufacturer tires, hankook 18 inch tires, are absolutely awful and a threat to anyone's life driving the vehicle. Breaking in winter is especially hazardous with these tires.”

NHTSA complaint #10934767, filed 2016-12, 50,000 miles

NHTSA complaint #10381451, filed 2011-02, 7,000 miles

“The right rear passenger tire makes a clunking noise everytime I hit a bump or turn the vehicle. Feels like the axle is going to fall off. I saw that others are having or have had the same problem. Wanted to post the complaint, hoping that since it is a common issue, Kia is forced to have it fixed or reimburse us. It's obviously a problem with the make of the car.”
