Example complaints

Brakes: “At stop signs, in a row of 3 or 4 cars, on the 3rd or 4th stop, I apply the brake but it accelerates as i am braking, moving forward 8 or 10 feet. Over the course of 1800 miles, this has occurred 3 or 4 times, narrowly avoiding collisions.”

NHTSA complaint #11700480, filed 2025-11

Other or unknown: “while driving rental the sun/moon roof exploded down on the 4 passengers. we were lucky there were no other cars around, we were driving proper speed. lucky for us, close to airport where we rented the car and returned it. was informed by supervisor at enterprise this was not an uncommon event to cars. it was to us, we started googling and found it was common.”

NHTSA complaint #11773384, filed 2026-10

Engine: “I purchased this vehicle new in June 2025. About a month after the dealer service inspection, the vehicle suddenly would not start at all. The key fob sometimes cannot unlock the door, and I have to use the backup key to open it. After entering the vehicle, the engine will not start. I previously brought the car to the dealer for inspection, but they said no issue was found. Now the problem has happened again and the vehicle cannot start. This is a serious reliability and safety concern for a new vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11723148, filed 2026-03

Electrical system: “On May 21st , 2026, while waiting in line to make a right turn (positioned 3rd in queue), the vehicles ahead moved forward. As I transitioned from the brake to the gas pedal to follow, the vehicle experienced an instantaneous engine stall and total electrical failure (NOT an i-Stop event). Pressing the gas caused the vehicle to slowly roll backward. When I immediately tried to reapply the brakes, the brake pedal became extremely stiff and nearly impossible to press down, failing to hold the vehicle effectively. The driver behind me began honking aggressively due to the imminent collision risk. …”
