“I purchased a new Mazda 6 and it came from the factory with michelin tires. The problem was immediate with a severe rough ride when the tires were cool thus causing steering problems. I rarely drive this vehicle (7,000 miles per year) and was shocked to find sidewall buldges and tire separation on the right rear tire. A few weeks later, I noticed the left front tire had the same problem. Since day one, all 4 of the tires wouldn't hold their tire pressure (even with no leaks) which couldn't be figured out by professionals. …”
NHTSA complaint #10231030, filed 2008-06, 19,998 miles“Dt: the contact stated she noticed there was a bubble the size of an orange along the sidewall of the left front tire. She removed the tire and replaced it with the spare tire. Upon further investigation she discovered the right front tire had a bubble the size of an egg in the sidewall as well. She contacted the dealer, where the vehicle was purchased. The dealer suggested this was most likely due to a road hazard. She contacted a tire dealer, who also stated the problem was due to a road hazard. Both tires were replaced. Updated 3/9/2006 -”
NHTSA complaint #10146127, filed 2005-12, 13,800 miles“I have primewell valera touring ii tires that have a date code of 0215 and they still have around 50% tread left. The side walls on all 4 tires are coming apart, they are split almost all the way around. These tires are on my daughters car and I did not notice this problem because the splits where on the outside of the tire but facing the inside, I found them when I went to install the snow tires. I called primewell and they said there is no recall for the serial number on these tires and they would not help me at all. …”
