“The 2015 Mercedes-Benz sprinter cruise control shows no icon when activated. The cruise control, lever is located close to the turn single switch and has a similar design. Making it easy to activate by mistake. The design I believe is not a the problem. Benz has used this layout for years on all vehicles. The fact that the driver is not informed is a safety problem. I questioned mercedes about this and was told, the 2016 models have a icon that does show the system is on. Including showing set speed. But it does not stay on. …”

NHTSA complaint #10908039, filed 2016-09, 50 miles

“one or more of the rear-wheel speed sensors may experience an electrical failure, which potentially could lead to a disablement of the Electronic Stability Control (“ESP”) control unit functions. If ESP control unit functions are disabled, vehicle driving stability may be impacted under certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.”
