“When I turn on my car and begin to drive it, it makes a really loud noise. It is hard for me to turn either right or left. Also when I am accelerating in the freeway or in the street the car slows down and no matter how much I accelerate it stays in the same speed. I took it in to pepboys auto center and was told that it has an internal noise and that it has something to do with the electrical steering. …”

NHTSA complaint #10781873, filed 2015-10, 121,000 miles

“I don't know if this is a one-time,only-thing, but felt I wanted to mention it. My mother drives a 2010 Nissan Sentra, built about 2/10 it has never been serviced by the dealer except for 'included' oil and filter changes, as part of the new car 'sell' I took the front left wheel off, to rotate the tires and, since I have replaced control arms, and cv axles myself in the past, looked around. The 32 mm spindle nut was loose enough to turn by hand, the original cotter-pin (painted black while the car was built) was original-properly intact. …”

NHTSA complaint #10467992, filed 2012-07, 20,000 miles

“The back end can slide around a corner easily, also will also come off the ground going over bumps or railroad tracks. This has occurred even while traveling below speed limit, on a clean dry road.”

NHTSA complaint #10361884, filed 2010-10, 1,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Sentra. While driving various speeds, the vehicle began to viciously vibrate without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the coil spring and spark plug failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.”

NHTSA complaint #10906844, filed 2016-09, 80,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Sentra. While exiting the highway and turning at approximately 35 MPH, the contact drove over a road bump and the rear of the vehicle began excessively swerving from left to right. The rear wheels were lifted from the ground. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the dealer advised there was not a repair to correct the failure. The manufacturer was contacted to report the failure but did not provide any assistance. The contact stated the vehicle was not equipped with stability control. The vehicle was not repaired. The current and failure mileages were 1,000.”
