“The contact owns a 2023 Ram 1500. The contact stated that on approximately four occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the tailgate opened unexpectedly. The contact pulled over safely each time and closed the tailgate to continue driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.”

The contact stated that the tailgate had fallen onto the crank. The contact stated that there were damages to the tailgate and the paint due to the failure. …”
