“When stopped at a red light, vehicle shut off and emergency parking brake engaged. Safety was not necessarily put at risk but other cars had to pass me as I tried to figure out the issue. Dealer cannot reproduce the issue as it's happened only twice in one year. The only warning that came on the instrument cluster was parking brake engaged .”
NHTSA complaint #11631442, filed 2024-12“I was in downtown Atlanta traffic, moving around 10 miles per hour. The truck suddenly shut off and applied the parking brake. Once restarted the battery light was displayed on the dash. This has happened approximately 10-12 times in the last year. I was lucky this one did not result in an accident. Please help in getting Ram to realize there is a problem. Thank you!”
NHTSA complaint #11608261, filed 2024-08“Etorque and battery failure. Etorque was failing and coldbrook Mitsubishi said it was fine. 2 months later brought to Lee dodge/ram and told etorque bearing gone. By now 80k manufacturer warranty over 80k and not warranted despite me telling them before this mileage. This etorque should be recalled and paid for. This truck has been nothing but problems. I won’t buy anything from stelantis in the future!”
NHTSA complaint #11728700, filed 2026-04“The truck has done this four times since 01/22/2026. While still moving slowly the truck will do this while going down the highway. One other safety issue was when I merged into traffic on the highway (You have to merge into the fast lane at this location) the truck wouldn't go past 4th gear approximately 40 mph with cars coming up on me at 70. All of these problems correct when I can get the truck restarted.”
NHTSA complaint #11756163, filed 2026-08“As I was driving, my battery light ignited the voltage on my battery continuously went down. I stopped at a stop sign. The engine shut off car completely stopped. Lights were working on dashboard and display screen, but vehicle would not start jumped vehicle as soon as cables were taken off vehicle battery went dead again then all of a sudden it started up again but something is still not right.”
