Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The issue concerns the steering column control module, when the turn signal is used or activate the turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. Either issue can cause confusion or reduce visibility for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash. I have asked the dealer to fix the issue but have told me they have been out of stock of the part and I have been waiting over 6 months for the fix with no resolution.”

NHTSA complaint #11558679, filed 2023-12

“The back passenger window behind the driver shattered while I was in the vehicle. Window shattered from inside out no previous damage to the window , all of sudden it shattered. May daughter’s car seat is on that side luckily she was not hurt because she wasn’t in the vehicle at the time. But to think that she could have been because I was , I had just parked and the window directly behind me sounded like it exploded. RAM manufacturer does not want to take responsibility for this safety issue that is 100% a safety concern.”

NHTSA complaint #11749984, filed 2026-07

“When it is raining, even a moderate amount, the air flow from driving down the road blows/directs the water from the windshield across the drivers window. Making it extemely difficult to see out the window for on coming traffic or to use the drivers side mirror.”

NHTSA complaint #11679532, filed 2025-08

“Sun visor fell off while driving a 2nd time, the first times was repaired under warranty at about 5k miles A quick google search will show this is a common enough problem, in multiple models, that there is an aftermarket fix for visors for rams and jeeps.”

NHTSA complaint #11696976, filed 2025-11

“Driving down highway and the sunroof randomly exploded, glass fell on us in the truck. Nothing hit the sunroof or caused the explosion! Looking online this is a known issue due to issues with the tempered glass in sunroof.”
