“When trying to accelerate, when I hit the throttle pedal there's a delay of at least 5-10 sec before truck responds and starts accelerating. Very dangerous when switching lanes on highway. I've read online that there is a lot of others that have this same issue with vehicle like mine.”
NHTSA complaint #11220782, filed 2019-06, 1,800 miles“Integrated brake system for towing trailers (itbs) does not work. Safety hazard as the truck can not stop the 150000 pound 29t arctic fox 5th wheel. After 4 attempts dodge gave up and said the itbs works as designed. The 5th wheel was certified that the brakes work with other tow vehicles. Not with our Ram 3500 which is rated to tow 22000 pounds which is a safety hazard. We are unable to stop the trailer in an emergency or uner normal driving conditions using the itbs.”
NHTSA complaint #11196949, filed 2019-04, 1,000 miles“Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2018 RAM 3500. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 105,000; however, the contact discovered through the original owner of the vehicle that the current mileage was 217,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11771661, filed 2026-10, 217,000 miles“My 8.4 uconnect touch screen is delaminating cause all types of issues. Function don't work properly when trying to use it. It will randomly select functions & hinders safe driving practices. This is a known cause but dealer will not repair based on mileage of truck which is 45k. The cost is outrageous to have repaired at dealer.”
NHTSA complaint #11404049, filed 2021-03, 42,000 miles“Truck shudders while shifting between 1st and 2nd and again from 2nd to third . Shudder hard enough to see to dash shack. Shifting shudder hard while towing. Blue tooth cuts out while streaming music”
