“I bought a New Dodge Ram 3500 cargo van in 2022. The van currently has 48,000 miles and the steering started violently pulling, almost causing a wreck on a couple of occasions. I took into the dealership and they said the wiring harness for the steering rack is bad and not under warranty. This is a manufacturer defect, looking online there are hundreds of cases just like mine, with a couple of serious wrecks. The manufacture knows that water is getting in the steering harness wiring, causing it to short out and corrode. …”

The seal between the two cowl sections failed, allowing rainwater to pour directly into the engine compartment. The intake manifold sits directly beneath this leak point and contains a recessed area where water can pool. …”
