2024: “Electric oil pump for transmission failed at 16,000 miles -no immediate safety risk to my knowledge -the problem was reported by me and acknowledged by Toyota dealership (San Rafael) and replaced under factory warranty -I do not know if failed part was inspected by Toyota, police or insurance - was not to my knowledge -No warning prior to failure”

NHTSA complaint #11751829, filed 2026-07

2025: “I own a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 that I purchased in February 2025. Every time it rains, my car develops a strong musty, mildew-like smell inside the cabin. It usually fades after a few days of dry weather. This has been happening since I first got the car. It’s very annoying thing to happen on a new vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11743825, filed 2026-06

2026: “Active Technical Service Bulletin that was not disclosed by Toyota or my dealer. The brakes make a piercing metal on metal noise when placed in reverse. I've been told this is not a safety issue, there will be no longer term impacts, and it is safe to drive. The issue however is that Toyota is limiting distribution of available repair parts, so I am on a 5-6 month wait list with my dealer. Bulletin is: T-SB-0046-25 Rev2”
