2021: “Fuel gauge and fuel tank do not operate properly, like the 2020 rav 4 gas tank problem. On 2/8/21 when the gauge indicated 1/2 tank, I put in 9.997 gal of gas, since this car only has a 14 1/2 gal tank the tank must not have been 1/2 full. On 2/14/21 the gauge read 2/3 , I pumped gas and the pump shut off at 1.1 gal, I slowly added gas as the pump kept clinking off till I got a total of 1.743 gal of gas into the tank. I started the engine and the gas gauge still read 2/3, so I started the gas pump again slowly added another 1.287 gal of gas. …”
NHTSA complaint #11399703, filed 2021-03, 2,504 miles2023: “Complete brake failure when exiting freeway resulted in crashing into a concrete barrier and guardrail at a high rate of speed before impacting another vehicle. Vehicle has an electronic emergency brake that could not be engaged. Vehicle could not be put in reverse or park to slow impact. There were three prior issues with the vehicle regarding brakes and acceleration. The car had less than 250 miles on it. Issue was reported to the dealer from where it was purchased after the collision. Vehicle is likely totaled pending an assessment by the insurance company. …”
NHTSA complaint #11504199, filed 2023-01, 250 miles2024: “Parked at work as usual on 8/17/2026 in the morning and in the afternoon when i was ready to go home, i noticed the windshield was chipped closed to the bottom. The chip itself is quite tiny and doesn’t look like it was hit by an object. The crack link goes upwards and turns towards the passenger side. The weather has been very hot in the past several weeks.”
