“Case number 240821-000271 was opened on 8/21/24 with Volvo Car USA Support. I have three main concerns: 1) The infotainment system losing the favorites that I have saved in the Sirius application. This had been an intermittent problem that I had been having since I purchased the car. I finally took it into the service department at Volvo Cars of Gilbert on 1/7/23 for this problem (Invoice Number VOCS110975). The service department was unable to recreate the problem so they did nothing. 2)A complete car system reboot while I was driving on 6/10/24. …”

Without warning, the vehicle failed to start, supposedly because of a software update that failed to work properly. The car routinely has software updates. This is the second time in the 6 months since we leased the car that it has had problems with a software update. We have a home in Ithaca NY, where it can snow for many months of the year. We are put at risk by a car that can fail without warning. …”
NHTSA complaint #11461521, filed 2022-04“I just purchased car two weeks ago. Got home and tried to familiarize myself with the car. Very intricate car with lots of technology. It is a mainframe on wheels. To my shock, there is no written owners manual in the car. I have been trying to go to the dealership, and customer service, to get said owners manual. I offered to pay for one myself. I am told for environmental reasons that it does not exist. The owners manual is available on the center console of the vehicle. WHAT? What if I am on the side of the road and can't turn on my car, I can't access a manual. Can this be legal? …”
NHTSA complaint #11510015, filed 2023-03“while attempting an OTA software update, the update failed. The instrument cluster was inoperative, it was a complete blank screen. Not able to tell how fast you were going, what gear you were in, how much gas you had. All features displayed on the instrument cluster were not available. Contacted Volvo to attempt a software reset, and all attempts were not successful.”
