“The car's heater on 'pure' mode does not operate. I called the dealer and he said oh yeah, this is a very widespread problem. My car travels in cold climates and is subject to moisture/condensation. No call from Volvo, no special notice, nothing...... just wait until you can't see out your windows and have to pull to the side of the road because they are too lazy to take care of this issue. It is safety issue - 100%.”
NHTSA complaint #11498430, filed 2022-12“Volvo rushed the 2022 model year XC60 with the new Google infotainment to market before all the bugs were worked out. While driving after 4 weeks of ownership, the HVAC was not working so unable to defog the windshield, the turn signal lights were not working, maps and speed limit alerts not working. Had to manually reboot the infotainment to regain these necessary safety features. There are numerous internet forums describing issues with the new Google based infotainment that Volvo is using and the slow response to address them. Even the dealer is aware of these reported issues.”
